Kamp Dels is a family run resort that actually started quite differently than one may think. In fact, it wasn’t even originally called Kamp Dels, but Del’s Blue Spruce Lodges. These lodges, or cabins, started with the construction of the two two bedroom cabins in 1955 that are still standing today. Don’t worry, they have since been remodeled a few times to give them a more modern feel. It wasn’t until a few years after the cabin construction when Del Pope purchased the farm land with the infamous Red Barn that an additional 10 campsites were added that the name had to be changed. Now you may wonder why the Kamp Dels Logo looks the way it does, or even what it is. When we were Dels Blue Spruce Lodges, the logo was a single blue spruce pine tree. These were the iconic trees that surrounded the cabins. Once the camp sites were added, it became camping and cabins so the single tree was creatively twisted into two spruce trees that came together.
